Game Description:
Powell’s grit and determination made him an effective rebounder and inside presence. Was only 6-2 at High School, and played guard. Then, he grew up 3 inches, and played inside at college level, showing great defensive skills, despite having to play against players who were five, six, sometimes seven inches taller. Now, he' a versatile player who can play at both guard & forward positions. He has great fundamentals, and can do almost anything on the court. One of the most versatile player in the world market. Powell scores effectively inside and from the perimeter. Has a nice soft touch. Great defender.

In April '09 joined Al Kahraba (Iraq-D1) for the Arab Clubs Championship: 4 games: 23.0ppg, 8.0rpg, 3.0apg, 1.0spg. In May '09 joined Satria Muda (Indonesia-D1) for the Asian Clubs Championship: 5 games: 21.0ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.2apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 37.5%, 3PT: 30.0%, FT: 72.7%, in June moved to Seattle Mountaineers (IBL) 11 games: 27.3ppg, 6.7rpg, 5.4apg, 1.0spg
2008: Snohomish County Explosion (IBL): 3 games: 22.3ppg, 7.3rpg, 6.3apg
2007-2008: Yakama Sun Kings (CBA): only pre-season, then joined Provincial Llanquihue Puerto Varas (CHI-DIMAYOR,1T): 11 games: 24.2ppg, 7.7rpg, 2.6apg, 2.4spg, 2FGP: 55%, 3PT: 35%, left in Nov.'07, then moved to Albany Patroons (CBA,1T), American League: 26 games: 11.2ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.4apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 46.2%, 3PT: 39.4%, FT: 80.5%; Feb.'08 injured reserver list, later that month signed at signed at An Nahl Sharjah (UAE-D1, starting five)
